Product Overview
The GEM Patient Pad Rectangular 0.50 x 9.00 x 19.75 is a pad that is used for leveling patient position of the uneven surface and area. This GEM patient pad is used in a wide array of GE MR Scanners, including the Discovery MR750w, Optima MR450w, SIGNA™ Explorer, SIGNA™ Pioneer, and Discovery™ MR750. While a key benefit of this is increased patient comfort and reduced pre-scan times, the flexibility these give the technologist is often overlooked. The GEM pad in the magnetic gantry or patient table consist of various parts such as bridge edge, cradle front, cradle filer, cradle rear, bridge edge, table top, cradle edge, end bell, body coil bore, table bumpers, cradle handle and arm boards. The system materials have similar biocompatibility properties as the materials used in the other GE MR systems. The foam is made up of 1.5# 60ILD Urethane, along with the polyscan coating and matte finish. These polyscan coated positioning pads are versatile and lightweight. This is widely used in GEM patient positioning kit and many other applications.
